Specialists from the Vistahermosa HLA Reproduction Unit identify healthy embryos resulting from IVF to increase the chances of achieving a full-term pregnancy.
One of the areas of knowledge that has evolved the most in Reproductive Medicine is the genetic study of the embryo to identify as accurately as possible healthy embryos, free of chromosomal alterations. The HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit has created SecureFIV, a treatment that combines in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the Preimplantation Genetic Tetst (PGT-A) to detect numerical abnormalities of chromosomes of the embryos or aneuploidies, allowing the selection of the embryo with the highest implantation potential. This will make possible to increase the cases of success in IVF cycles and the chances of having a healthy baby at home.

This procedure is carried out on the third and fifth day of the embryos’ life and it consists on a biopsy of a small sample of genetic material to carry out the study of the entire genome of the embryo, identifying healthy embryos to transfer to the maternal uterus.
