The HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit has created SecureFIV, a treatment that combines in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the Preimplantation Genetic Tetst (PGT-A) to detect numerical abnormalities of chromosomes of the embryos or aneuploidies, allowing the selection of the embryo with the highest implantation potential. This will make possible to increase the cases of success in IVF cycles and the chances of having a healthy baby at home.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-14723 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/urvistahermosa.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/estudios-geneticos-2-768x576-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\">&#8220;At the HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit we offer genetic diagnostic techniques for embryos, such as Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) using In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedure. We are then able to select those that are exempt from chromosomal alterations, capable of developing an evolutionary pregnancy\u201d,<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This technology makes us more effective and we mainly use it to help patients with difficult reproductive prognosis: advanced age or implantation problems, increasing the chances of success and safety, while reducing the risk of miscarriage,&#8221; explains the director of the fertility centre, doctor Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez G\u00e1lvez.<\/p>\n<p>This procedure is carried out on the third and fifth day of the embryos&#8217; life and it consists on a biopsy of a small sample of genetic material to carry out the study of the entire genome of the embryo, identifying healthy embryos to transfer to the maternal uterus.<\/p>\n<p>The HLA Vistahermosa Reproduction Unit is the only reproduction centre that has its own Genetics Unit, equipped with a team of renowned professionals in personalized genetic counselling.
